1. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION IS COLLECTED:
When you register to subscribe to our CrossPaths.net Internet Access
service, CrossPaths.net requests personally identifiable information
such as your name, e-mail address, physical address, telephone number,
credit card number, and in some instances, your social security number
to register your account ("Registration information").
CrossPaths.net may also automatically check the version of
CrossPaths.net Internet Access software and components you are using
(including your browser version) every time you sign into CrossPaths.net
Internet Access service in order to optimize performance. CrossPaths.net
may also provide upgrades to such software that will be automatically
downloaded to your
computer.
2. HOW CROSSPATHS.NET USES YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Your personally identifiable information may be gathered, processed or
used in the following ways:
-To service accounts, process, bill and collect payments pursuant to the
CrossPaths.net Internet Access Subscriber Agreement, and otherwise
operate and deliver the CrossPaths.net Internet Access service you have
requested.
-To support customer questions about subscription, billing, or use of
the CrossPaths.net Internet Access service.
-To enforce any of the terms of the CrossPaths.net Internet Access
Subscriber Agreement.
-To alert you of new products, product upgrades, special offers and
other information related to CrossPaths.net and the CrossPaths.net
Internet Access service.
-To fulfill CrossPaths.net Internet Access CD and other fulfillment
request orders.
3. WHO ELSE MAY RECEIVE MY CROSSPATHS.NET INTERNET ACCESS REGISTRATION
INFORMATION:
By becoming a subscriber, you agree that CrossPaths.net may share your
personally identifiable information with third parties for their use in
providing services to CrossPaths.net in the course of operating and
delivering the CrossPaths.net Internet Access service, such as to
process or collect payments, or provide customer support to
CrossPaths.net Internet Access accounts. All such third parties are
prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these
services to CrossPaths.net, and they are required to maintain the
confidentiality of your information.
By becoming a subscriber, you also agree that CrossPaths.net may present
you with carefully selected third parties offers, unless you choose not
to receive such offers by specifically changing your marketing
Communication Preferences.
In the event that you receive a special rate for Internet access because
of membership or affiliation with a particular organization, you agree
that CrossPaths.net may provide your personally identifiable information
to said organization.
Information may also be disclosed to any successor to business of
CrossPaths.net.
4. HOW DO I ACCESS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Your information will be processed and stored by CrossPaths.net in the
United States, and, if you do not live in the United States, possibly in
your country of residence. You may check and correct your information in
your CrossPaths.net Internet Access account in the "Account Access" area of
CrossPaths.net Internet Access on the CrossPaths.net web site. You may
also contact CrossPaths.net Internet Access Customer Service to
determine whether such information has been accurately recorded, and, if
not, to request correction of any inaccuracies.
If your account was offered in conjunction with another company through
a co-promotion, you will be notified upon registration about how to
contact the other party in order to check and correct your information
if necessary. In some cases, both CrossPaths.net and the other company
with whom you signed up for CrossPaths.net Internet Access, will both
receive your registration information.
5. HOW DO I CONTROL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Personal information may be controlled via the "My Account" section of
the CrossPaths.net Members site. In the case where you opt-in to an
offer from a third-party company at the time of sign-up or at any time
post-sign-up, and you choose to stop receiving messages or offers from
the third-party-company, you will need to contact the companies
directly.
